Are messages lost after reading?

Hi I am new here. I have received messages but I think they have disappeared? After I read a message is it lost if I do not manually save it?

Hi,

the messages will stay on the server for 7 days if you are a non paying user, respectively 31 days if you are a paying user. If you want to keep messages for a longer period you will have to save them.

To get back to the messages that are left on the server, just click on the little envelope on the top right side of the menu and then on the big envelope on the bottom of the right menu. In the middle of the screen you should then find all the messages that are still on the server.
